Bonjour,

Reminder: Monday field trip (Eco-Rowing). Please be in the classroom ready to leave no later than 8:20am. Dress for the weather (layers) and bring snacks, lunch and water.

Devoirs:

Maths: Drawing including 3-5 polygons with perimeter calculations due after class on Tuesday. Ensure you have completed enough of the assignment by Tuesday so that you can finish in one block.

Anglais: Graffiti analysis due Tuesday. Questions relating to the graffiti specimens we analyzed (from the Royal BC Museum) are on the back of the "Vocabulary" handout.

Fral: Histoire de montres (due tomorrow).

Bonjour,

Reminder to bring in all waiver forms (for Eco-Rowing) and permission forms (Eco Rowing on Monday and Museum field trip May 30th)

Maths: Please complete up to Question 4 on handout relating to finding perimeter of polygons. Use notes from today's class for shortcuts to finding perimeter.

Anglais: Answer questions from graffiti handout (on the back of vocab sheet). Be detailed and give specific examples whenever possible. This is due on Thursday.

Bonjour,

Maths: Test today on transformations (translations, rotations and reflections). Please bring protractor/geometry set to class as we are launching into our geometry unit this week.

Anglais: What did you learn about Chinese Canadian's experience in the early 20th century based on the poetry we read today? (Share with your parents).

PE: Share with your parents the technique used to throw a javelin and what they were used for in Ancient Greece.

Permission forms needed asap (as well as waiver forms) for next Monday's field trip. If you are a parent volunteer driver, please make sure you have all paperwork completed in by the end of this week.

Maths: If you did not do the math test today, then ensure your review for Monday's quiz on transformations is completed for Monday ( I will be doing a homework check).

Eco-Rowing: Please make sure to bring your eco rowing permission forms and waiver forms for Monday. Our trip is scheduled for May 1st.

Bonjour,

Just a reminder to bring in pink permission forms for our eco-rowing field trip on May 1st. I still need several parent drivers (currently have enough coverage for 17 students including myself as a driver of 5 students).

Devoirs:

White Jade Tiger final project: Due on Tuesday!

Maths: Continue to review transformations (particularly rotations). We will continue to review on Tuesday with an aim to do the quiz on Thursday.

Bonjour,

Just a reminder for students to continue to work on their English projects for White Jade Tiger which is due on Tuesday at the latest. Everyone has talked to me at this point about their progress. Some students have more work to do than others in order to finish for the extended due date.

Maths: Make sure reflection & translation activities are completed. We will be working on rotation for Thursday's class.

Français: Les curieuses créatures (due tomorrow, Wed. April 12th)

Please bring in signed field trip forms at earliest convenience (for May 1st field trip).

Bonjour,

Just a reminder to get all hot lunch order forms in to the office asap.

Also, rugby and badminton are starting up now so anyone interested should have signed up at this point. Track & Field will be towards the end of April/early May.

Devoirs:

Maths: Test for Adv. 43 & 44 on  Thursday. Make sure you have completed the review from today and do some extra practice plotting points on the Cartesian plane if you have difficulty remember to always start with the x value (horizontal axis) before y (vertical axis).

Anglais: If you have not completed the draft of your White Jade Tiger final project, ensure you have all components completed to show me as I will be continuing student/teacher conferencing on Thursday.

Bonjour,

A reminder to bring PE strip for tomorrow's gym class and any scholastic orders for April.

Devoirs:

Maths: Finish graphing the three equations from today (find the missing y values, plot and label  points on cartesian plane). Find the value of the variables in the equations on pink handout (answers on back of worksheet).

Anglais: Continue working on White Jade Tiger project. I am meeting with students this week to look over their drafts and give suggestions for improvements. Good copies due late next week. Drafts should all be complete at this point and ready to show me.
